New Make Up Trends Fall/Winter 2015
During the Fashion Week events that take place in New York, London, Milan and Paris we not only get inspiration for new season fashion but also the whole look including hair and make up. The top make up trends for fall/winter 2015 as seen on the catwalks are beauty statements that are easy to create at home.
This season pale coloured and nude lips have made way for the dramatic look of dark plum, black and ripe berry red lips seen on models from Antonio Berardi to Carolina Herrera.
BOLD EYE LINER
Big and bold eyeliner shapes on upper and lower eyelids are on trend this season and create an intense look. Any design goes be it abstract, freestyle strokes or precise lines as long as it is bold. The classic cat eye which is very flattering for most eye shapes uses eye liner or black kohl to elongate the eye, like a cat’s eye. It was a favourite with all the Chanel models.
Many models on the catwalk this season had a glow on their cheeks like they had just stepped off the slopes or been on a brisk wintry walk. So to recreate their look choose some peach or rose blushes that give that just come back from holiday look.
Forget the tweezers; thick boyish brows are back for fall 2015. They are often unplucked and natural or shaded in and will define the face with a bold look.
This season many makeup artists have opted for bronze eyeshadow or shades of apricot, coral and mandarin. Eyeshadow was placed on the lid as well as all around the eye and these colours really warm up the face.
Sexy smoky eyes made many appearances on the runway and give a subtle and sophisticated look which is perfect for day or night. The trick to achieve perfect smoky eyes is always to blend in well, then blend some more. The classic smoldering eyes can be achieved using black and greys and are a fantastic combination with bold eyeliner and luscious plum coloured lips.
NO MAKE UP
Less is more, make up is used only to hide imperfections and let the natural beauty shine through. It gives a fresh, youthful look and was favoured by Dolce and Gabbana and Michael Kors.
